How the Eco Fan Grid Reduced Current Draw in Rooftop Fresh Air System

Before

Rooftop fresh air unit has a 15 HP, 208-volt, 3 Phase motor. Under normal operation, the a/c supply fan motor draws 29 to 32.4 amps on each of the three line legs.

AFTER

When the rooftop fan was replaced with the Alternative Sustainability Eco Fan Grid, the energy use dropped by 55%. That saves about 164 kilowatt-hours (kWh) every day—adding up to nearly 60,000 kWh a year. That’s around $18,000 saved annually on electricity.

The EcoFanGrid is mounted on a slide frame, allowing for quick rollout, inspection, and servicing-minimizing downtime and maintenance complexity.
Unlike traditional single-fan systems, failure of one fan doesn’t mean loss of airflow – the remaining fans continue to operate, ensuring continuous performance.
